Flexible anode is a new material that has been developed recently, with its main application being cathodic protection of storage tanks and buried pipelines. It has a very low consumption rate and high current capacity.
The basic structure of a flexible anode is: an internal anode core material + carbon powder filler + an outer layer of fabric + an outer mechanical woven protective mesh. Because it can be flexibly bent, it resembles a thicker cable and is known as a flexible anode or cable anode.
Applications of Flexible Anodes:
1. Underground pipelines;
2. The bottom plate of steel storage tanks on the ground;
